Taylor started her YouTube career by recording ASMR videos with her mobile phone. PewDiePie starred her in a game-related video shortly after reaching 50k subscribers. It was approximately 1 1/2 months following the first upload of her YouTube video. Taylor quit making videos on her Youtube Channel at 2 months and nearly 100,000 subscribers. This was mainly due to technical issues related to her new equipment, and her awe-inspiring popularity. After a month long break, she began making videos and uploaded videos again, among them the popular ASMR 10 Triggers to help You Sleep (35 million views by August 2022). ASMR Twenty Triggers to Sleep, a video that was extremely popular in July 2017, is now seen by 38 million users as of August 20 in 2012. After reaching 1 million YouTube subscribers, she included in an interview with Shane Dawson interview in August 2017. Wired UK, in its February 2019 issue estimated her earnings at $1,000 per month from her YouTube channel.

Dennis Helfer and Elaine Helfer were the parents of Helfer who was born. The couple is born to German as well as English descendance. She studied at the William E. Hay Composite High School of Stettler located in Alberta. She lived and worked on the family's grain farm along with her three sisters, Trena, Tammy and Tara. At the age of 17, Helfer's modeling agency agent spotted her while in line waiting at the theater.
